I love designers which focus on cut, drape and form rather than bold eccentric colours and prints. The ostentatious garments have a shorter life expectancy as one will want to find a new colour and print to replace one that everyone has already seen you in. These garments in the pictures above are timeless, unique and (the majority) very wearable.

''Born and raised in Berlin, designer Jolka Wiens decided to leave her beloved hometown to study at the Gerrit-Rietveld-Academie in Amsterdam, where she graduated in July 2012. Jolka’s collections derive inspiration from the psychological and social aspects of design, the way in which people communicate. For her graduate collection, Jolka studied the psychology of facial expressions and translated it into a modern, laser cut collection that plays with subtle changes within the same basic shape. Jolka loves new challenges within material treatment and taking a sculptural approach to clothing.''
